As I am almost positive you guys are ten steps ahead of me, in case you are not, you may be enlightened to know that with the recent release of 1.7.2, some files have been changed around for all resource packs, and records folders are now disabled. To enable them, you have to get a replacement folder called sounds, and some other handy things you may wish to take a look at. I recently downloaded again the Insomniac Resource Pack, and found that it was not yet reverted. Here's hoping I was at least a little help!
