Thanks for keeping us updated and thanks for taking the time to find the issue.  Any ideas what it may have been?  Good luck as well!

Status update.
I found something i didnt like on the server so i removed them. I am in the middle of backing up classic's SQL since i will be changing the Harddrive that its using so it is to reduce I/O times on the main server drive. unfortunately thats where the time exist since it is a 4k table that is so far  gigs big. im letting the backup continue i will continue working on getting the server back online when i am in the office..

bad news everybody
after much screwing around and trying to clean up and update stuff i realized it would be better if IS1 was wiped clean and reinstalled.

what does this mean?
for you nothing. for me a clean slate to work with. no old data or programs no 15 sql databases. since the only mysql db that is utilized is for is1 i can clean and start from where it left off. that means no random things. what this also means is that many of the back-end errors for software that would bog the machine down will be removed.

the last time this was done was 2 years ago so its long overdue but since i backed everything up im not to worried. I will have to back up a few other things. But at the rate i work it shouldn't be to long. however i will not be able to get started on this till i get home from work. i will run backups of everything that needs to be backed up. I will also be skipping lunch today so i will be slight agitated upon my arrival. Rest assure its due to low blood sugar not anything you guys have done.  Sorry for the inconvenience. I will keep you posted while i work through this issue.

that being said Juway please contact me on skype ASAP i need to discuss something with you

These updates have been very informative.  I'm glad you can keep us up to date and involved in this way.  If its bit a bother, was the source of the crash ever discovered?

alright im awake now.
so heres what happened
at 3:47am all 3 server programs running on IS1 shut down at the same time. now normally if that happens its cause the server crashed however in this case no. according to the event logs somebody remoted or sent a command to the server in at that time using a backdoor. I began looking into how they did it and found a backdoor trojan onto the system and cleaned it out. While the server was down i decided to move some things around and aleviate the IO times on the main drive. however i found some more wierd logs i didnt like. At this time i thought it would be best to just reformat and start a new since the last time that was done was when the server was created. I also took that time to add an ssd and a better video card. However after installing and getting it up and running i ran into some issues with the power cables. after resolving that issue i was able to install a new os and being the process of setting up the servers.
the whole process took 3 days. again sorry for the downtime. servers are online and we are running at peak performance.
